TRAVEL TO HONG KONG

Visit (599 times)

Causeway Bay is the most populated area in the Hong Kong Island. With a mix of both places where locals shop like Izzue and large shopping centers like Sogo and Time Square, Causeway Bay has become a extremely popular place for young people.

Although the rent here is one of the most expensive in the world, Causeway Bay still attracts a ton of merchants who all want the foot traffic that this area can provide. This is also part of the reason why there are literally buildings of restaurants, where each floor is a different restaurant as no one can afford the rent on 1st level that faces the street.

Even though many of the roads are quite wide, this is a very tough place to walk from one place to the next without bumping into someone even in weekdays. During the weeknights and the weekends, this becomes even more so as everyone pile onto the streets to shop and eat.

Getting to Causeway Bay is no problem though, as the area is accessible by just about all kinds of transportation that Hong Kong offers. If you take the MTR, just go on the blue line adn get off at the Causeway Bay stop.

If you do stop by, I recommend stopping at popular meeting places like the front of Sogo and the big area in front of Times Square.
